- Grace Cathedral Park Red House Painters cover by Aaron Robinson
This was written by my favorite songwriter. It appears on the self-titled Red House Painters album also known as the Rollercoaster LP. The song had a big effect on me, as have many of Mark Kozelek's songs whether solo, with RHP, or with Sun Kil Moon. Anyway, enjoy this May 21st day of rapture gift from me, recorded in my brand new dedicated music room. Love, Aaron.

- Aaron Robinson recording vocals for a demo - Secret Lives
I started writing this song way back in 2003. My old band Imaginary Baseball League considered it for the Revive album, but it really wasn't finished. I always kinda liked it, but I think the way the band played it was kinda jangly, and recently I thought it could sound really big. I asked a friend to send me a drum loop at 142 bpm that you could play punk rock guitar to. He sent me 3, I liked this one the best, looped it for the whole song, and so I added all the guitars and bass stuff. I also re-wrote almost all the lyrics with the exception of parts of the first verse. This vocal take was the last thing I did. I don't have great equipment and don't get great sounds, so I guess I'll record all this again and expand on the drum thing once it's time to make another record.

- Luka by Suzanne Vega - Cover by Aaron Robinson
If you're under 30, chances are you haven't heard this song. It's the only hit that I can think of that is about child abuse, which is weird. Regardless, I've been oddly obsessed with the song lately and wanted to play it. So here's "Luka" by Suzanne Vega as played by me, in my room, after midnight, on a work night.

- Aaron Robinson - How to play The Elephant (by request)
Original recording here: www.youtube.com Purchase the song or the album We Are Racing Ghosts on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and many more places online. Also, pick up Aaron's new EP (released February 2011) "A Dying Art" at all those same places. Folks, many of you asked for this. I am no teacher. But here is my best attempt at showing you how to play it and then playing it all the way through at the end. I appreciate that so many of you have asked. Let me know if you have anymore questions! Here again are the lyrics: I will fall asleep tonight against the will of the world because peace is not a gift, nor a feeling, a feeling I deserve still it comes to me each night despite a war inside our heads and a sea between our bodies, cold and old inside this bed and you were the mother to my love but I grew up a runaway when I was drowning in the storm you reached out and pulled me ashore oh no and I will wake tomorrow, my arms dead by my side and if I wrap them around you, I'll wrap the truth in a lie because we both know the evil, the elephant in our tomb so let's just be lions for the cub in the other room and I was the killer of your heart but you thought it best to stay when I left you drowning in the rain though I'll try, I'll never know your pain oh no

- Aaron Robinson & the Lost Verses - Tracking vocals for Price is Right
Become a fan at facebook.com/aaronrobinsonmusic - Here I try my hand at some Chocolate Rain action by shooting a clip of a vocal take for "Price is Right" from my band's not yet finished album. The instrumental tracks for the record were recorded at Lake Fever Productions in Nashville. What you hear is an instrumental rough mix that was done in the studio, plus background vocals that I recorded at my house, plus the live take of the lead vocals. I'm recording the vocals at my house so I can take my time and get it right. Enjoy the work in progress!
