This is a longer song. The real song starts with an acoustic guitar, then the electric guitars come in. It needed a lot of going over, especially the start. It has quieter parts and louder rougher parts. The real song has a few electric guitar instrumentals. There are some bits of piano playing including one key slide in the real song but a lot of the piano bits are quiet. There is low voice singing for the quieter parts and high voice singing for the louder rougher parts in the real song. Go on see and hear for yourself. I did the best I could, enjoy!

Well, here is something I've been working on these last two weeks in my spare time. This song is simply awesome, everybody knows that, so I decided to do a full one man band cover :) I started transcribing every sound I could hear in the original song, but I arranged it to be played using various instruments that are clearly not used in it, like my old Oboe, which I hadn't played since I dropped it when I was 14! haha I recorded everything into REAPER using an M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface and the t.bone SC600. The electric guitars, bass, piano and synth were plugged directly into the interface via line in. Sadly I don't own any drum set, so I had to do that using Addictive Drumms, a really cool vst plug-in. Guitar Rig 4 was used for both electric guitars and bass. ELECTRIC GUITARS 'TOP OF THE BILL' OP CULTUREEL ZOMER FESTIVAL Tijdens het 11e Cultureel Festival dat op 28 augustus plaatsvond rond het Koningin Julianaplein komt er als 'top of the bill' dit jaar een band van de gouden muziektijd naar Voorburg in de vorm van The Electric Guitars de band van Ron Knoester die eens een belangrijk deel van zijn opleiding onderging aan de montessorischool 'Vreugd en Rust' op het Oosteinde 14 (nu Savelberg Hotel/Restaurant). Die opleiding heeft naast het werk als opvolger van het aannemingsbedrijf Knoester ook muzikaal wel hele goede expertise opgeleverd en The Electric Guitars is daar maar een onderdeel van. Knoester is bekend van succesvolle bands zoals 'She gave me Water, Billy the Kid (de band van de toen nog onbekende Anouk), Little Big Muff en Midnight Temptation maar speelt ook regelmatig in een all-star band met Rinus Gerritse van Golden Earring en presenteerde afgelopen week een creatie als resultaat van de langdurige samenwerking met Sacha de Bruin 'Sas Who?' Knoester is zo'n natuurtalent die niets liever wil dan spelen en dan met alles er op en er aan. Maar Knoester is niet alleen. Hij speelt in The Electric Guitars met niemand minder dan Mark Boon van oa de Voorburg/Leidschendamse band SMYLE die met het stuk It's Gonna Be Alright van George Kooymans (Golden Earring) op nummer 9 van de top 40 stonden. For the bass track, I used my Squire P Bass with a pick. As usual, the drum track is taken from a file I created in Guitar Pro 5. The percussion sound heard in the intro an in the verses is myself slapping my knees in time, I think it's a great effect.

This is a release of a new NeoKitsch arrangement of Handel's Sarabande. NeoKitsch has been mostly associated with analogue synths, vintage instruments and classical recordings for violin and viola, however, the studio recently started to explore with virtual instruments software to broaden musical possibilities. This piece is a first attempt at using East West Quantum Leap's software 'Ministry of Rock', using samples of Les Paul, Fender and Ibanez electric guitars. The electric guitars were performed live using the Haken Continuum Fingerboard as a midi controller. The piece also includes a violin solo from David Way.
