Released in 2002 on Mute. Add N To (X) is a electronica / experimental band from London, England. They formed in 1994 and broke up in 2003. The words noise, psychedelic and rock are also used to describe their sound. Loud ike Nature is a very loud album. Lots of distortion friendly synth. This album walks a fine line between ugly and sexy, sleek and abrasive, deformed and beautiful. Everything sounds overblown and over the top and other areas sound very subdued. This album also oozes a high degree of weirdness. Weird sounds matched with weird song ideas. Songs about aliens, Polaroid people invading, this album tends to have a somewhat druggy, paranoid vibe to it. The main thing I like about this album is how dance orientated it is. Lots of thick, electronic grooves matched with some ungodly noise, thumbing, throbbing bass. This album is a very hot, sweaty affair. Might be too out there and noisy for some people. All in all, I found this to be a very fun and trashy album, in the same vein as bands like Does This Offend You, Yeah ?, Ladytron, Trans AM, Cibo Matto.
